1. Preliminary Surface Assessment
Every job begins with a thorough visual review. We note the current shingle state and any visible wear. This assessment identifies organic growth patterns and helps determine if some areas are too worn for cleaning. Please note that this is a maintenance check, not a structural engineering report, and we will avoid any compromised zones that clearly need professional roofing repairs.

2. Vegetation Protection Measures
We prioritize your landscape’s wellbeing by rinsing and covering sensitive plants. Our crew carefully directs runoff to manage solution exposure to your greenery and lawn. While we strive to protect your exterior assets, our focus is maintaining a professional and tidy workspace throughout the treatment, ensuring your home exterior is respected while the soft wash is underway.
Active protection for your home landscaping
3. Targeted Low-Pressure Wash
We use manufacturer-recommended low-pressure techniques to apply cleaning solutions. Unlike power washing, which can strip protective shingle layers, our chemistry-based approach neutralizes growth effectively. We utilize industry-standard products designed for surface maintenance. This method is intended to clean, not to fix underlying leaks or extend the service life of aging or failing materials.
Gentle cleaning following industry best practices
4. Managing Outcome Expectations
Soft washing is a multi-stage corrective process. While we treat and kill biological growth immediately, visible moss and lichen may take weeks or months to naturally detach and weather away with rain. Because every roof environment is different, results vary by age and growth density. We provide realistic timelines rather than instant fix claims, as natural debris removal is dependent on weather cycles.

5. Project Wrap & Gutter Terms
We perform a final walkthrough to confirm the application is complete. Please be aware that gutter debris removal and exterior gutter whitening are separate elective services and are not included in a standard roof cleaning quote. If you would like your gutters cleared or brightened, please request a custom add-on quote so we can accurately scope the additional labor and materials required.

Benefits of Soft Wash
Soft washing is the preferred method for maintaining shingle aesthetics without the destructive force of high-pressure water. By applying a specialized solution, we can improve curb appeal while protecting the delicate granules that make up your roof's surface. Regular cleaning helps maintain a tidy exterior but is not a substitute for professional repairs.
Important: Soft washing is a cleaning service for organic stains. It does not repair structural issues, stop leaks, or extend manufacturer warranties. Dead moss may remain visible until it naturally sheds via wind and rain.

Is this a roof repair job
This is strictly a cosmetic maintenance service. Our process cleans biological growth and staining but does not address mechanical failures or structural leaks. While a clean roof looks better, this service does not modify, extend, or reinstate any original shingle manufacturer warranties.
Weather and scheduling info
Effective soft washing requires specific conditions: low wind and temperatures above freezing. We monitor local forecasts closely to ensure chemical efficacy. Should severe weather or high winds arise, we will reschedule to prioritize technician safety and ensure the best cleaning outcome.
Access and gutters
We need clear perimeter access to work safely. While our roof wash treats the shingles, it does not include cleaning inside the gutters or scrubbing their exterior faces unless these tasks are specifically added to your custom service quote following a site assessment.
